New Stuff...

I am so excited to post about some new Character Training stuff I bought, from the iblp.org Friday I ordered the character training cards and the booklets, plus The Eagle Story book. I have flipped through the matierials several times already. Dug right into the Eagle Story on Friday and Today we did the character cards at breakfast. LOOOOOVVVEE IT ALL!!! No only is it great for the kids, but excellents for Mama as well. I stuggle so much with character. Living on the Jersey Shore is a ministry in itself. We are a mission field. NJ is NOT in the bible belt and our churches are struggling with keeping people in church, and finding families that are inline with the word of God. I/We tend to become soft to the sin around us. It's so prevalent here. It's in your face. And while we are just as "in your face" with our Christianity.. We are sadly the "Christian freaks" of the neighborhood. I don't mind it at all though. I would gladly take on the persecution of

One Thousand Gifts...

I read a remarkable book, entitled One Thousand Gift by Ann Voskamp . Her writing style is delectable. Her challenge is....well it's a challenge . A call...to change my perception..to change my inner feelings, to challenge the way I think. To Focus, truly focus on GOD and his beauty. His gifts to us. That we see daily, yet don't take the time to acknowledge. A challenge to find gratefulness in all situations . A challenge to "live fully, right where you are". Do we live fully? Do we see God's beauty daily? Do we Thank him for his gift? Do we allow him to lead our life? Do we submit to his authority? Do we accept his will for us, gratefully....? Get the book! Read the challenge...Accept the challenge... If your looking for a heart change...the concept behind the book, if you do it..Will provide you with a heart change. Blessings............ Carrie

A time for everything

It's been a bit of a rough week here. We lost a friend suddenly. It sounds sad, and yes we are, but we are rejoicing that he is with the Lord!! While he will be missed by us, the fact that we know he is in Almighty's presence is enough for me. You see every Monday Night, we head to the Millers' ~ we have been attending their bible study for about 6 years now! We have come to know and love so many people there. We have dinner and then read through the scriptures. What a blessing, to sit among God's people and listen to the word. We all don't attend the same church, we all aren't of the same denomination, but that matters not. Because we are all like-minded in Christ. Our fellowship is sweet and encouraging, Paul was notoriously late. And much like how Norm would enter into Cheers is what you would hear when Paul came in. He really would try to be inconspicuous , but as soon as the door opened no matter where were at in the study and resounding " Paaaul &
