Things I Love about today

Cold rainy winter days

sleeping kitty's in window sills

a full day of school completed

warm soup for lunch

a daughters laughter while her friend visits

hot tea

reading out loud to the younger three

Little House in the Big Woods

Snuggling with Bella, under flannel sheets for a nap

Pride & Prejudice

munching on homemade granola

blow drying little girls hair after their afternoon bath

talking with a friend on the phone

Mr. Darcy all snuggled on his bed

a napping son, in the warmth of the living room.

hugs from my son, who is bigger then me.

knowing whats for dinner.

  One of my favorite things to do on a cold crisp day is cooking and baking. Something about the smell of onions, carrots, and celery sauteing up brings a sense of home. And remind me powerfully of my grandmother. The memories of being in her home and feeling her love are all tied to food, where she spent the bulk of her time. Hubby was in an accident....

Proverbs 31 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. The blaring ring of the phone woke me on Tuesday morning... 7:15am... I knew as soon as I looked at the clock, something was wrong. No one calls here that early.. I quickly peel a child out of my arms and trying to not wake her, before the phone does. She had a restless night. "hello" in a whisper.. as I was still in my bedroom. Walking out of my room, I hear my darling hubbys nervous voice, "I was in an accident" Me, "Are you ok"... Him, "yes" Me" do you need me to come?" Him, "no, I'll call you" He explained what happened. His company truck was pretty messed up, and the air bags went off. He said he had some airbag burn, felt ok, just stressed. Trusting God..to not nag!

Proverbs 21:  19 Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife This was me, for a few months now. You see after we left our old church my husband was hurt, I mean hurt beyond any hurt. And luckily we were welcomed in by friends of ours at another church that really helped us heal. These people were awesome, and supportive. However that church is a full 50 + miles from our home. And the drive was getting to my darling hubby. But *I* said, we have to go.. we MUST be in church, little quips and little things said here and there, and what would my lovely husband do, he would go to appease me. Don't get me wrong, my hubby loves church and loves the people, but it was stressing to him. Hubby works an hour away during the week, and travels then. Then Saturday comes and we're rush to do this, that, and the other thing..
