Garden Bounty

Well I am so excited, My garden has really taken off this year. After composting all winter, adding some horse manure earlier this season, rototilling it all up.. I am actually getting vegetables that are worthy of eating!! WOOHOO.. We have managed to get 2 colanders full of green beans, and some beautiful Italian eggplants and yummy zucchinis. I've already made zucchini bread!! Yummy, using my canned applesauce. :)

There is something so inspiring about using what you have worked hard to can yourself!!!







I hope to someday have alot of land to work, until then I will make the most out of my suburban homestead!! :)

Hubby was in an accident....

Proverbs 31 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. The blaring ring of the phone woke me on Tuesday morning... 7:15am... I knew as soon as I looked at the clock, something was wrong. No one calls here that early.. I quickly peel a child out of my arms and trying to not wake her, before the phone does. She had a restless night. "hello" in a whisper.. as I was still in my bedroom. Walking out of my room, I hear my darling hubbys nervous voice, "I was in an accident" Me, "Are you ok"... Him, "yes" Me" do you need me to come?" Him, "no, I'll call you" He explained what happened. His company truck was pretty messed up, and the air bags went off. He said he had some airbag burn, felt ok, just stressed. Trusting God..to not nag!

Proverbs 21:  19 Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife This was me, for a few months now. You see after we left our old church my husband was hurt, I mean hurt beyond any hurt. And luckily we were welcomed in by friends of ours at another church that really helped us heal. These people were awesome, and supportive. However that church is a full 50 + miles from our home. And the drive was getting to my darling hubby. But *I* said, we have to go.. we MUST be in church, little quips and little things said here and there, and what would my lovely husband do, he would go to appease me. Don't get me wrong, my hubby loves church and loves the people, but it was stressing to him. Hubby works an hour away during the week, and travels then. Then Saturday comes and we're rush to do this, that, and the other thing..
