National Coffee Day..

In celebration of National Coffee day, I thought I'd post about my new coffee pot.


We have had every type of pot, and yes we even have a Keurig , but my most favorite thing for coffee I have found so far is a .............................french press~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!






Love it!!!!


Now we are on a slow journey to self sufficiency. This little gem is a start. It's eliminated a need for a coffee pot on my counter, uses no electric and is easy to use and clean! :)


This along with my breakfast blend coffee is a perfect start to my morning!!! :)

Confession..

I have a confession, I am obsessed with dishes. I just love them! I change my dishes out seasonally.. I love old dishes, new dishes, vintage, clear, decorated, china, fiestaware, you name it.. I love one or multiple patterns! :) So today is a georgous day, I'm talking at least 65* today.. To which I am ever so Thankful, I was able to hang 4 loads of laundry on the *new* clothesline hubby built for me. OK so back to dishes, I put away my winter dishes... I was given a *new* set of dishes from my mom.... How cute are they????? Love them!!!!!!!!! And then these are what I usually have out in spring.. so I added them to the cabinet as well. It's all washed and put away.. waiting for tonights supper of Italian Sausage and White Bean Soup! From My Bella Cucina to Yours!

Our Journey through Unemployment..

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future After 24 years with his company, and after a seriously rough few weeks. My dh was let go from his job. I have such sadness, not because he was let go but more because this was originally my grandfathers business, and with dh working there.. it was still somehow a connection to my grandfather whose been gone for several years now. I will miss the smell of the "shop" . I will miss seeing the equipment my grandfather started out with in his garage. I will miss the familiarity of it all. It's a closing chapter for me personally. I still miss my grandfather. For my husband, I am happy.  I can't imagine the pressure he felt in his life for him to come home from being fired and he physically looked relieved.
