So the Mr. has been working extra side jobs for the past few months. And while we are Thankful to God for the extra income, we have been super busy with it all. So for the Mister's birthday we decided to spend a day away. So last Friday, we had planned on getting everything all ready and packed when we had an extended family emergency. The Mr. had landed another side job that he was sure he would have done Friday night, but as circumstance would have it. It wasn't done until mid Saturday morning. By all these lovely tokens September days are here, With summer’s best of weather And autumn’s best of cheer." - Helen Hunt Jackson, September, 1830-1885 I Love September!! The air has a crisper quality about it. I can smell the ocean almost daily. I idea of a new school year has me giddy. Now I get to do that with my own children. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on...

SO when our kids were little we took "date night" and adapted it to our life. Sometimes "date night" was waking up early, Big Daddy and I get a cup of coffee and go to a quiet place usually outside if the weather was nice or in a quiet room in the house. We would talk, and talk and connect. Sometimes, when the kids were younger we'd put them to bed, and hubby would go out to a restaurant that had curbside service, he'd bring home and meal and we'd sit in our home-- connecting. Other times, ...
