The blaring ring of the phone woke me on Tuesday morning... 7:15am... I knew as soon as I looked at the clock, something was wrong. No one calls here that early.. I quickly peel a child out of my arms and trying to not wake her, before the phone does. She had a restless night. "hello" in a whisper.. as I was still in my bedroom. Walking out of my room, I hear my darling hubbys nervous voice, "I was in an accident" Me, "Are you ok"... Him, "yes" Me" do you need me to come?" Him, "no, I'll call you" He explained what happened. His company truck was pretty messed up, and the air bags went off. He said he had some airbag burn, felt ok, just stressed. Next call I got was from him in the police car, the officer was kind enough to drop him off at work. The convers...
I have a confession, I am obsessed with dishes. I just love them! I change my dishes out seasonally.. I love old dishes, new dishes, vintage, clear, decorated, china, fiestaware, you name it.. I love one or multiple patterns! :) So today is a georgous day, I'm talking at least 65* today.. To which I am ever so Thankful, I was able to hang 4 loads of laundry on the *new* clothesline hubby built for me. OK so back to dishes, I put away my winter dishes... I was given a *new* set of dishes from my mom.... How cute are they????? Love them!!!!!!!!! And then these are what I usually have out in spring.. so I added them to the cabinet as well. It's all washed and put away.. waiting for tonights supper of Italian Sausage and White Bean Soup! From My Bella Cucina to Yours!
For the New Year, we decided we would head out to our most favorite place to be. Our camper in Lancaster Pennsylvania. We did a bowling party with the kids to bring in the New Year, spent the night in our toasty warm camper, went to an awesome breakfast buffet at Yoder's, ate like little piglets, picked up some delicious raw milk, walked the creek and then headed home. You see, we are preparing for a storm here. I'm prepared as far as food goes. But we had to prepare the house and Big Daddy. We only heat our home with firewood. That means a lot of it had to be brought in. We had two kids working on that. They are saying this will be the coldest our state has seen in several years. While I make sure the house is well stocked with food, And I get out those snow suits, hats, gloves, the drying rack, boots, sleds, thermos' .. etc. etc. Big Daddy is preparing the truck...
