My favorite people call me Mom, Mommy, Momma, and Grammy. 


My passions are cooking, baking, taking care of my family,  reading, learning,  frugality, teaching, and encouraging others. 

I'm a homeschooling mom of 24 years and work full-time. And I'm also a full-time student. 
And in my spare time for fun:

I love Jane Austen; I love to be outside in nature in all seasons. I love hanging laundry on the line, playing with my kiddos, camping, reading Little House books, etc.

Hubby was in an accident....

Proverbs 31 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. The blaring ring of the phone woke me on Tuesday morning... 7:15am... I knew as soon as I looked at the clock, something was wrong. No one calls here that early.. I quickly peel a child out of my arms and trying to not wake her, before the phone does. She had a restless night. "hello" in a whisper.. as I was still in my bedroom. Walking out of my room, I hear my darling hubbys nervous voice, "I was in an accident" Me, "Are you ok"... Him, "yes" Me" do you need me to come?" Him, "no, I'll call you" He explained what happened. His company truck was pretty messed up, and the air bags went off. He said he had some airbag burn, felt ok, just stressed. Confession..

I have a confession, I am obsessed with dishes. I just love them! I change my dishes out seasonally.. I love old dishes, new dishes, vintage, clear, decorated, china, fiestaware, you name it.. I love one or multiple patterns! :) So today is a georgous day, I'm talking at least 65* today.. To which I am ever so Thankful, I was able to hang 4 loads of laundry on the *new* clothesline hubby built for me. OK so back to dishes, I put away my winter dishes... I was given a *new* set of dishes from my mom.... How cute are they????? Love them!!!!!!!!! And then these are what I usually have out in spring.. so I added them to the cabinet as well. It's all washed and put away.. waiting for tonights supper of Italian Sausage and White Bean Soup! From My Bella Cucina to Yours!

Cool Temps = Warm Meals

  One of my favorite things to do on a cold crisp day is cooking and baking. Something about the smell of onions, carrots, and celery sauteing up brings a sense of home. And remind me powerfully of my grandmother. The memories of being in her home and feeling her love are all tied to food, where she spent the bulk of her time. Preparing nourishing meals for her family.  When we take the time to prepare meals, we show love to our family. Tonight, I made a Potatoe, Bacon, Cheddar, and Good Ol' Fashion Chicken Noodle.
